Izaline Calister has been rewarded on November 18, 2009 with the Edison Award 2009 for the category of Jazz and World Music. The jury selected her latest CD release Speransa (hope) amongst other submitted albums, in the category of Jazz and World music. The carnival season closes with one last parade. Night time march with sparking lights, the King Momo is burned at midnight.
In the evening we headed out to the children carnival parade. In the festivities of the carnival in Curacao there is a special place created for the participation of the children, who have their own Queen of Carnival.
